Bruno currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Technatomy Corporation where he provides strategic technical guidance and innovation thought leadership. With over 30 years of progressive leadership in the Information Technology field, Bruno has held key positions both in the federal and civilian sectors.
Prior to joining Technatomy, Bruno served as the Deputy Program Manager for InfoZen’s largest contract with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). His responsibilities included supporting, developing and executing the Transportation Threat Assessment and Credentialing (TTAC) program at multiple geographical locations for varied Task Orders (TO). He also managed a program portfolio that included supporting key Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) TSA initiatives, managing a staff of over 145 personnel.
From 2008 – 2010, Bruno managed application development programs supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Joint Staff (J6), and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (OASD) that performed Interoperability & Supportability (I&S) Certification assessments and System Validation of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Acquisition Category (ACAT) programs. In addition, he led the DISA IT Service Management (ITSM) program that included the ITIL process implementation for the DISA Network Services (NS) Directorate.
In 2007, Bruno was selected for the role of CIO, Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO), leading a Government staff of 192 and 50 contractors, which supported over 6500 users from the Secretary, Under Secretaries, Assistant Secretaries and Senior Executive Service for all VA Administration organizations. Additionally he managed the design, development, implementation, and operations of information and communication system technology needs of VACO, encompassing over 16 geographic locations with a budget of over $78 million dollars.
Bruno received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems from the University of the State of New York and a Master’s Degree in Management from Troy State University. Bruno served in the Navy for 21 years, retiring with the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. During his Navy career, Bruno received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Navy Achievement Medal.
