Bill Timme is Vice President of Defense Solutions for Technatomy Corporation. He brings a deep understanding of defense markets through his senior Navy leadership experience and extensive private sector engagement. He leads a skilled team at Technatomy to address client mission needs and optimize their technology investments.
Prior to joining Technatomy, Bill was the Global Defense and Intelligence Segment Leader and Navy Account Leader with IBM for 10 years. He was responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategic, enablement and execution plans for IBM Defense teams across the globe.
Bill is a retired Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy. As a flag officer, he was an acquisition professional and responsible for In-Service engineering and maintenance support for all of the Navy’s operational submarines. Concurrently, he led the Naval Undersea Warfare Centers, a set of independent engineering and research centers of over 4,000 engineers, scientists and professionals. His assignments in the Navy included Program Manager for heavyweight and lightweight torpedoes, VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program Office, and Commanding Officer of the fast attack submarine, USS HELENA (SSN725).
He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters in Engineering Management from Catholic University. He is a graduate of the flag officer Executive Business curriculum, certified Level III Program Management, and the Navy’s nuclear power program.
Bill is also Chairman of the Board of Falcons Landing, a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community focused on former service members.
